Ready for Spring

Ahh, a cute little accidental face to start off 2014. Not that there haven't been other faces in places, but I neglected to document them. Because I'm a slacker. At any rate, I feel the same way about the weather lately. But at least there's snow to play in.

I guess this is a little easier to see.

Also, here's a jack-o-bush by my house. Creepy.

Gotcher Back

Finally remembered to bring a camera to the fitness center... this face has been egging me on all semester.

Cover Band Potty

What's a street fest without cover bands and port-a-potties? Nothing. Fortunately Allison and I saw quite a few this summer, and look who else was there.

Shy Beach Watcher

So many talented face spotters out there now! Thanks for seeing and sending them all, people!
CF said she "Saw this one while taking photos with Tamara at Montrose Beach Sunday morning :)" Love it!
The second one was in the vet's office...probably early in the morning.

A Small Collection from Lenore

These faces from Lenore's various travels were languishing in email, but no more! Here we have a happy plane, a quizzical box, a disgruntled monster, an impatient purse (which was in line at the airport), and some kind of Frankensteiny thing on top of a building.

Cin-fully Delicious

Lenore said her cinnamon roll was good, the rest of the meal, not so much.

A New Accidental Face!

I haven't posted any accidental sidewalk faces lately, so this was a welcome addition from CF. It's imported from Chicago. She said it was "...on Sheridan, just north of Diversey...on a walk to the beach. Ahhhhhhhhhh :)"

And this is sort of qualifies too, because I imagine it was wiped up fairly soon after it appeared. Also from CF, the back story is this: "This was at an Italian restaurant right at Clark and Fullerton called Viaggio. Their outdoor tables are metal and happy. :) It was actually smiling in the opposite direction, but I rotated it for easier viewing. You're welcome. ;)"

(And thank you)

Funny Colemans

Colleen and her brother, Tim, are not the only Colemans with funny faces. Case in point.

This is a bracket on the wall of the parking garage where we parked by Diversey Harbor. I don't know why it looks so weird. It's in a hospital parking garage, so maybe the paint is radioactive. Job security and all.

Mirthful Purseful

This is Colleen's going-to-the-lake bag on the 4th of July. I think it was almost as excited as I was.

Hopeful Deterrents

Lenore spotted these hopeful fence "locks" responsible for preventing dumpster diving.

The Face of Today's Weather

Actually, it was last month's weather, but I forgot to post it. Sometimes weather patterns have their own personality. While not a face, I also thought the second one looked like a dog...doing what dogs do. And by that, I mean peeing.

Put 'Em Up!

I love this face sent to me by Dara, a high school friend and alert face spotter. She said, "I was walking through Kroger last night at 10 p.m. and thought of you..." Awww.

McDonald Sightings

No, not the hamburgers. McDonalds as in Lynda and Lenore. Lynda found a face lurking under her keyboard, and Lenore glanced up to see one bearing down on her during her weekly journey to Indy. She said she got out of the way fast. This is an interesting activity for a safety professional, don't you think?

Wouldn't You Like To Be A Pepper Too?

CF stole this off someone's facebook page and sent it to me. That's all I know. Other than the friend she stole it from was reluctant to cut it up any further. But that's where the story ends; you'll have to write your own ending.

Bridge Watcher

How cute is this meter face in Aurora? CF took it for me with her phone. The second is a lock spotted on her friend's front door after many times of not noticing it. Funny how that happens.

Oh Nooooo!

The level of beer in my glass fell in proportion to the level of water rising in my basement. This is a Dogfish Head chicory stout, which I didn't love, but it was OK. The happy bubbly face is in an Old Rasputin Russian imperial stout. I liked it better. I didn't expect stout beer to have so much personality!

Thai Duck Face

Because it was seen in a Thai restaurant...

A Variety of Vacation Faces

These were all spotted during my spring break trip to Florida. I think the chimney on top of the pizza joint is my favorite. But the shell is cool too. And the alien in Odie's truck. OK, I like them all.

 In the condo...

A creepy face on the beach

2 bike faces...see them?

A friendly boat tying up thingee

A hungry alien in Odie's truck

Smile!

Tree spirit says "yo."

How cute is this chimney?!

Unhappy travelers?

Oops
