Then there's this story, about a Pony named Molly. She was abandoned during Katrina and sent to a farm where such animals were stockpiled. While there, she was badly attacked by a mean pit bull. Her leg got infected from the attack, and she was slated to be "put down" until the vet met her and noticed how smart she was, and how stong her survival instinct was. Long story short, this plucky pony not only survived her injuries and surgery to amputate her infected leg, but she's thriving with a prosthetic. Now she goes to hospitals, rest homes, rehab centers, etc. to visit people who need a little hope. Read about her on Snopes if you like -- it's TRUE. But the reason I'm posting this here, is because her new "foot" has a smiley face on the bottom, so she leaves a happy message wherever she goes. :)
